Rimma Sushankaya Performance

Welcome to the Virtuoso Violin Festival 2012

Rimma Sushanskaya and friendsThe 11th Virtuoso Violin Festival got off to a good start on Sunday evening with the ‘Rimma Sushanskaya and Friends‘ concert in Stratford-upon-Avon.  This exciting concert show-cased some of the International  participants, the Enigma String Quartet and, of course, Rimma Sushanskaya herself.  The audience enjoyed pieces by Bach, Prokofiev and Vaughan Williams and during the interval  it was a good opportunity to meet up with old and new friends from across the world.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome course leaders and delegates back to Stratford-upon-Avon. We are sure you will have both a fruitful and enjoyable experience during your stay. Please do join us for  student recitals on Saturday the 11th August at 7.30 p.m. This free concert will be held at the Levi Fox Hall, King Edwards School, Stratford-upon-Avon.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Stratford Herald – 4th August 2011

Virtuoso Violin Festival- reported in the Stratford Herald on the 4th August 2011

Fantastic opening concert!

Rimma Sushanskaya, Robert Markham and Steve CollissonThe Virtuoso Violin Festival was opened on Sunday evening with a recital by Rimma Sushanskaya in Stratford-upon-Avon.  The concert commenced with some lovely Bach and Paganini solo pieces, performed by Rimma Sushanskaya which was a great beginning to this, the 10th Bach and Paganini Festival.  During the second half, Rimma was joined by Robert Markham (piano) and Steve Collisson (cello) who played the Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Piazzolla and as an encore played La muerte del angel, also by Piazzolla.  A very enjoyable evening!
